For as long as I can remember I’ve been singing! One of my earliest memories is of me singing with my best friend at church. We were only three years old but boy did we love to sing. I have had the joy of being surrounded by music for so much of my life.
Whether it was in children’s choir, playing handbells, or even accompanying other singers, my life has always been so full of music. As I grew it became more and more clear that I wanted to dedicate my life to music. Through my journey, I’ve learned quite a few instruments and you’ll find me singing as well as playing guitar, ukulele, piano, and sometimes even trumpet.
Music has always felt like home. It’s where I thrived growing up. Throughout my journey, I’ve had some incredible music instructors and I’ve had some not-so-great ones. I’ve seen first hand how instructors have had an impact on students. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to connect to students and meet them where they are, giving them a safe space where they can make mistakes and grow.
I received my Masters in Music from Ithaca College, my Bachelors of Music from Susquehanna University and I’ve had the joy of being an elementary school music teacher since 2009. Some favorite performing credits include the Page (Amahl and the Night Visitors) as well as the Soprano Soloist in John Rutter’s Requiem.
When I’m not focused on music you can find me spending time playing board games with my husband, friends and pets (they make the best spectators).
